Welcome to “The Change Makers” – our weekly video series.
In this series our Change Makers share their stories, their thoughts, their ambitions and their actions to leave the earth a better place – to be a Good Ancestor to future generations.
Our planet is experiencing catastrophic environmental harm and it requires us to Think Long Term, beyond our lifetimes, to evaluate our choices and to take actions to ensure a sustainable and healthy future for all.
The stories of those leading the change – The Change Makers – those thinking and acting with long-term vision, are inspirational.
Inspired, we can ask ourselves, “what can we do to be Better Ancestors?”
This week Better Ancestors is privileged to share with you a Greenpeace Aotearoa film.
Greenpeace is an independent campaigning organisation, which uses creative confrontation to protect Earth’s ability to nurture life in all its diversity.
Here at Better Ancestors we think that Greenpeace people are Change Makers, people like you thinking and acting with a long-term perspective and motivated to leave our Planet Earth in better shape.
The story of the industrial fishing industry and delaying the requirement for cameras on boats is a long and convoluted story – a story about delay and obfuscation – a story about an industry resisting change.
This short film tells paet of this story.
It is time for cameras on boats, and
We will make it happen.
